The St. Johns County Cultural Events Division is cordially inviting the public to an Open House at the new Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on Thursday, December 2nd, 6:00 – 8:30 pm. The evening will include music by local performers, refreshments and light Hors D’oeuvres.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I at the World Golf Hall of Fame IMAX Theater

The sold-out midnight premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I at the World Golf Hall of Fame IMAX Theater will include an opening night event, “Midnight Muggle Madness,” exclusive for ticket holders.

Ticket holders have been asked to dress up in their favorite costumes for the midnight premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I as part of a special event at the World Golf Hall of Fame IMAX Theater, “Midnight Muggle Madness.”

UNF to Host Camp Composition: Florida Writes!

The University of North Florida’s College of Education and Human Services will host Camp Composition: Florida Writes!, a writing camp to aid fourth through eighth graders to become better FCAT and lifelong writers, from 9 a.m. to noon, beginning Saturday, Jan. 22, and running through Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, in the College of Education and Human Services, Building 57, Room 1100A on the UNF campus.

Faces of the First Coast 2011 Go Red For Women Casting Call

The American Heart Association’s “Go Red For Women” movement is calling on women and men who live in the region to submit their heart health stories for the 2011 “Faces of the First Coast” casting call. If chosen, applicants will become representatives of the local public awareness campaign beginning in the spring of 2011. In addition, local winners will be eligible for submission to the American Heart Association’s national “Go Red For Women” casting call. Members of the “Faces of the First Coast” work to bring the dangers, signs and symptoms of cardiovascular disease to our community. They represent, exemplify and advocate for the mission of Go Red For Women through education and awareness.

St. Augustine Community Ballet's Nutcracker: Tickets on Sale Now

A special holiday event, The St. Augustine Community Ballet’s Nutcracker will be on stage at Flagler College Auditorium from December 17 through December 19. Artistic director, Luis Abella and choreographers, Rogelio and Lydia Corrales have assembled a cast of over 50 performers that includes local talent as well as professional dancers.  Students from eleven St. Johns County schools, homeschoolers and two Palm Coast schools are in the production as well as some local St. Augustine ‘celebrities.’

The 4th annual Winter Wonderland Returns to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre

With the St. Augustine Amphitheatre’s Concert Season coming to a close, its the time of year for the beginning of North Florida’s favorite winter themed festival. Now entering its fourth year, the wildly popular Winter Wonderland festival returns to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre starting November 19th and running through January 2nd. Over the past three years more than 100,000 people have enjoyed the Holiday Season with the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and made it a part for their family tradition!

Holocaust Survivor to Speak at Flagler College, Nov. 18th

Holocaust survivor Bob Behr will speak to a class at Flagler College on Nov. 18 about his experiences of living in Germany during Nazi rule. Behr will speak in the Virginia Room of the Ringhver Student Center on Sevilla Street from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Members of the community are invited to attend.
