The hottest new and exotic automobiles will steer towards North Florida when the Jacksonville International Car and Truck Show returns February 18-20, 2011  at the Prime Osborn Convention Center. 

St. Augustine Little League

 SALL will begin registration for baseball and girls fastpitch softball. The league is for boys and girls age 5 to 16 years of age.

Baseball & Softball Registrations Are Open

Spring Registration is currently open for Baseball and softball tryouts. Tryouts will be held on January 24, 25 & 27 immediately after school at the school fields. Those players selected for the team will be required submit a physical and register to pay-to-play. After tryouts and team selection is completed, players will be contacted by their school coach or sports director with more information about the SJMSAA "Pay-to-Play" program, practices, and other team information. If selected, the cost to the athlete is $225  for baseball and $200 for softball and includes jersey & hat, transportation, equipment, officials, ambulances, field maintenance, first aid and training supplies.

Florida State Pro/Am Surfing Championships

We are rescheduling the State Championships that were to be held at the Jacksonville Pier in Jacksonville Beach, Florida due to the poor surf conditions. 

Gate River Run Entry Forms Now Available

The official Gate River Run entry forms and training schedules are now available for the 34th running of Jacksonville’s premier running tradition on Saturday, March 12, 2011, announced Race Director Doug Alred.  More than 20,000 people annually take to the streets in Jacksonville’s largest participatory sporting event, which includes four popular races through some of Jacksonville’s most scenic neighborhoods.  Gate River Run is the largest 15K in the country.

Fans who are looking for a change at the head coaching position next year have launched a website to petititon Jaguars owner Wayne Weaver to fire Jack Del Rio.

Boating Fatalities Up 24% From This Time Last Year

With just a few weeks remaining in the year, 2010 has proved to be a tragic one for boating accidents. So far, there have been 76 boating fatalities, a 24-percent increase from this time last year. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) wants Florida boaters to reverse this trend.
