ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The pilot who died Saturday in an air show crash was also a current commercial airline pilot for Delta, friends tell First Coast News.

Bryan Jensen died Saturday at an air show in Kansas City. He was based at St. Augustine's airport and lived in Ponte Vedra.

Sunday, the president of the St. Augustine pilots association said Jensen was a beloved member of the group. He said Jensen enjoyed flying even during his days off from Delta.

"These aren't stunts. He's not a thrill-seeker or a dare devil. These are maneuvers that are well rehearsed and practiced over and over and over again," said Craig Fordem of St. Augustine.

Delta has not responded to our request for comment.
