PONTE VEDRA, Fla. – A Ponte Vedra woman is facing charges after allegedly hosting a house party for teens where alcohol was present.

St. Johns County Sheriff's deputies responded to a Crime Stoppers tip Thursday night and discovered an ongoing juvenile party was in progress 520 N. Ponte Vedra Boulevard.

Several guests were seen running into the residence as deputies arrived and walked up the driveway, the report details. Deputies were invited into the home and determined the teens were drinking and alcohol was readily available for their consumption, according to the report.

Jane Love Hughes, 46, was allegedly, “sleeping,” while the teens drank in her home for a “social gathering,” according to a police report. The teens attend Episcopal High School and drove themselves to the party, the report details.

Deputies contacted the teens’ parents and instructed them to pick up their child from the home.

Each juvenile was issued a SJSO Juvenile Citation and deputies told Hughes she will be criminally charged for allegedly conducting an open house party and serving alcohol to juveniles.
