Howard Weiss, D.O. joins the Brooks Rehabilitation Medical Group | Health
On June 1, 2012, Howard Weiss, D.O. will become a member of the Brooks Rehabilitation Medical Group. The Brooks Rehabilitation Medical Group is a team of physicians who are board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Each physician has received specialized training in the comprehensive management of patients with impairments and disabilities arising from neurologic, musculoskeletal and vascular disorders. Dr. Weiss’ specific interest and expertise in the area of orthopedic rehabilitation will strengthen and complement the excellent care currently provided by the Brooks physician group.

This step is a logical extension of his desire to become fully integrated into the Brooks clinical care team,” said Trevor Paris, MD, Medical Director for Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital.
Dr. Weiss graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1988 and completed his residency at Mount Sinai Hospital of New York. He completed his internship at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, NY and his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Weiss has been an independent practitioner in the Jacksonville area for 16 years.
Dr. Weiss will be closing his private practice on May 29th and his patients will be transferred to the Brooks Rehabilitation Medical Group office located at 3901 University Blvd. South, Suite 103. There will be no disruption to his patients or referring physicians.
Physicians within the Brooks Rehabilitation Medical Group serve as attending physicians for patients within Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital and continue to see patients following their stay. They also welcome referrals of new patients to their outpatient office.
