Uptick in NE Florida Pending Condominium Sales

The Northeast Florida Association of Realtors’ monthly indicators report showed that pending condo-townhouse sales in Northeast Florida were up 40.3  percent in February 2011 over the previous year and 45.7 percent in January 2011 as compared to January 2010.

FPL Selects Four Teachers in St. Johns County for Renewable Energy Classroom Grants

Florida Power & Light Company today announced that four teachers in St. Johns County were selected to receive $4,000 in funding through FPL’s 2011 Renewable Energy Teacher Grant program.

The winning teachers will receive the funding to support classroom projects that help teach students about renewable energy and adhere to the Florida State Board of Education’s Sunshine State Standards. In total, 43 teachers across FPL’s 35-county service territory have been selected to receive a total of $43,000 in 2011.

Renda Broadcasting launched a new radio station in Jacksonville, Classic Rock 94.1 (WSOS-FM), replacing their Soft Adult Contemporary Station – Sunny 94.1
