St. Augustine Community Ballet Presents Peter and the Wolf at Kirk Memorial Auditorium

The St. Augustine Community Ballet (SACB) presents a special Mother’s Day dance event as over thirty-five of the area’s most talented dancers present Peter and the Wolf and Paquita Suite at 2:00p.m. on Sunday, May 8, 2011. The performance will take place in Kirk Memorial Auditorium located on the beautiful campus of The Florida School for the Deaf and Blind, 207 San Marco Avenue, St. Augustine. Tickets for the performance are $20. A Mother’s Day special price of $15 is available to all mothers who attend with a regular priced ticket holder. Tickets for children 15 and under are $15. Eco-Safari Themed Charity Event to Benefit North Florida Land Trust

The North Florida Land Trust, dedicated to preserving land for conservation in seven counties, will hold a memorable charity event on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 7 p.m. at the J.Johnson Gallery, 177 4th Ave. in Jacksonville Beach Fla.

The Eco-Safari themed evening will feature a live auction for an African Safari for two and other great prizes. Catering by Liz Grenamyer, a full bar, silent auction, live music and lots of fun and surprises all for a great cause.

Saint Johns Cultural Council Offers Tasca’s Drawing & Painting Classes

St. Johns Cultural Council announces Spring Drawing and Painting classes taught by Joan Tasca, painter and art instructor.  Joan has taught K-12, college level, adult education, and holds a B.F.A. in Painting from the University of Delaware, received certification in Art Education from The University of the Arts, Philadelphia, and attended Tyler School of Art.  Her drawings and paintings are natural realism, and reflect interest in a variety of topics using elements that are, at times, symbolic.  Joan’s work has won awards and is in private collections.  The SJCC is  proud to present the professional level of instruction that Joan provides.
